See, this is why the majority of Americans don't understand how little they get paid. Try telling your local welder making 27.00 that the minimum wage should be raised to 25.00, and he'll have a fit about how lazy people don't deserve that much, and how it will put him out of work. Meanwhile, the secret cash from cocaine that props up the stock market and oil companies through Haitian and other banks is sitting under the floorboards in houses made from endangered tropical wood. Most working stiff people don't have a clue how little the system cares about them compared to how much money there really is. Target writes off 2 billion bucks a year for shoplifting. Half of that is probably just shit they take of the shelves and throw away and pretend it was stolen so the purchasing department doesn't have to admit they bought a bunch of useless crap nobody wanted.

A 500K slush fund sounds exorbitant, but it barely pays the mortgage, bodyguards and car payments for 12 months on a house like that, and it's not going to be sold right away because the corps know it isn't a rising investment.

It's not that a corrupt asshole is so rich: it's that the more corrupt someone is, the more money gets thrown at them (401K, stocks, political campaigns, etc). We built this city on rock and roll. Now it's flooding because we should have built it on something solid.
