Short and sweet. Thanks. I have been skeptical of your media output to some degree mostly because I don't think the press or academic institutions are equipped for the kind of acceptance of change and economics that are represented by an actual scientific evaluation of reality that we seem to be missing. It always seems that published science has to be about how we stumble into new discoveries more often than logically building models (especially building complex mental models without making up mathemagic concepts of the Next Big Particle to explain Everything).

Our best science always seems to be like astronomy: paper after paper about the stars we can see only to find out that we can't see 90% of the universe. I think this is what the military-industrial complex counts on (Big Sky, Little Airplane procedural thought): that people will see their System of systems as so big and complex that it can't possibly be ALL corrupt.

Your take on Gretch fits that bill. You point out succinctly (as I don't ;) that he might just be full of shit. It's your best work yet.

Keep pulling on that loose thread. What are they going to do about it, fire you? Climate change is going to kill most of us soon enough, anyway, so what the Hell, eh? Our government (I hate it when people say "the government" as though we didn't pay for it and vote for it) is a bunch of people trying to do their work, for better, for worse and mostly: just to get a paycheck again next week. Most don't really give a shit if what they are doing is right, wrong or just war porn. It's just a job. Some are better at it than others, so they get trusted to keep secrets, and they do it well: even if the only secret they keep is a lie.
