Short response: I don’t. I’m not blind. I have no idea what they normally envision the world to be.

Long version: a human is a primate that builds a model of the universe in its brain and upon physical maturity, moves itself into that model, avoiding reality at all costs. Doesn’t matter if they can see or not, the language and imagery will end up with similarities.

How close the model is to reality depends on a lot of factors. Whether we allow ourselves to accept new versions depends on one: questioning what we believe we know and seeking new information.

Hope and belief are often confused. I hope there are awesome ways that the human brain can connect with reality. I don’t believe very many can handle it if it’s possible at all, and the realities we can actually imagine are a long way from the natural physical universe itself. If humans follow any common methodology to their model-building, it’s a combination of convenience and surprise, with experience being the primary path to avoiding the latter. That’s why children speak truths so well compared to politicians.
