People are buying more guns to shoot each other (AR-15s, pistols) than for deer.

Nature will bat last, but it doesn't even have to try. Competition among humans will take care of the problem, and Nature will fill in the blanks. She always does. Her rule is, "Don't get too attached to anything.", well, except maybe sharks, rats, dragonflies, crocodiles and the coelacanth. The rest of us are temporary.
