Thanks for bringing the subject up, Amelia. It will be interesting to see if you get some decent discussion going.

Considering how much power is required to warp space in the first place in order to travel as the magically delicious Enterprise does, I would go toward some kind of coupling and redirection of gravity via an electromagnetic factor of the gravity plating, though I imagine it would be massively complex between decks and the turbolift, as well as the interaction with the established Warp field bubble and shield technology (see “magical deflector dish”).

I think it’s the first episode of the series “Enterprise” that Travis shows Trip the ‘sweet spot’ on the ship where you can float upside down.

We don’t really know what gravity is yet (a true force or an emergent phenomenon?), so you should be the right age to figure it out in your lifetime with some help from an AI.
