Thanks for the reply. I think I understand the "entrained energy" analogy, but I submit that we should be more concerned with entrained work. Far too much of the flow of currency is based on wasting energy and then taking credit for that waste, rather than value based on actual useful work that contributes to future uses.

This is the "Proof of Work" part of crypto that seems to get dismissed too easily in favor of 'mining'(wasting energy to heat up server farms).

In the long long term, only living resources are valuable in how they create living beings that seek those physical resources.

Everything else is a scheme to pretend that things like Marketing, Belief and unfettered Growth are worth something, but they only consume and waste resources that will be needed generations in the future.

Driving the choice for these imaginary value sets instead of physical value sets is The Invisible Hand pretense of "demand pricing".
