The biggest reason that the rest of the world doesn't get American Football is because it's about food and advertising: both of which are enabled by our agriculture system of 'cheap food or die' which is killing us. The rest of the booze, trucks, sexploitation marketing (It's all in the marketing, and it's ALL marketing.) rides the coattails of an economy that wouldn't exist in any other country where people pay more for healthier food or can barely grow their own. America is the only country that can afford its 'football.'

Americans are kept so busy with jobs, jobs, jobs, credit cards, credit scores, television streams and bullying each other into destroying the planet that they haven't a clue that the Super Bowl has nothing at all to do with an actual sporting contest: that's just the emergent phenomenon of Marketing (fanatical competition over competing fanaticisms called "brands"). "Fan" is short for "fanatic", you know.
