The campaign and future of the world comes down to whether democratic rule of law is stronger than the advertising/lobbyist money and technology of pandering/disinformation. Rule of law in a democracy requires a certain level of general intelligence/knowledge combined with a minimum level of activism and decency that is trusted by a majority.

Everything about advertising works to undermine trust in one thing (including ourselves) to sell trust in amother thing (brand loyalty and brand switching). The vast majority of Americans are educated by advertisers, not civil institutions.

It's the Economy OF Stupid, and stupid is tax-deductible.

The bottom line is that Trump level of Stupid really draws a crowd, and that adds to the bottom line of every ad, whether pretending to be a far Right advertiser selling trucks or a less far right advertiser selling electric trucks. Beer and line items all around!
