The conservative political context is about civilization (city-based society) and its inherently extractive and competitive sense of existence. So-called "conservatives" want to keep the bullies in the "winner-take-all" tournament while the privileged liberal conservationists want to keep all of the comforts that extractionism supplies ("Tax the Rich" implies keeping the rich rich).
Land Back in some ways still implies anthropocentric ownership rather than meeting the needs of the place.
Civilized humans evolved to favor bullying, not leadership.
The cattle chutes of industrialization have a subterranean mirror infrastructure of cashflows. While politicians pretend to be concerned with the people in those chutes, they are really only concerned about keeping the chutes in place above ground so the money continues to flow below. The Earth is just the feedlot to the them: no matter which brand they burn into their cattle.
