The other side of the 'vulnerability' coin is that while the regulated bureaucracy of the military offers money to vulnerable kids (read: poor), competitive monetized civilization drives so many into poverty to make them vulnerable to 'recruiters', as though they have a choice.

Far too many are trapped in a prison maze before getting a shot at even the choice to die in some desert to stabilize the price of oil.

It's not about the military's choice of advertising: it's about "free speech" advertising's creation of plentiful targets through colonialist extraction policy. It's ironic how we live in an abusive system that creates abusive people, but the 'violent' military is the fairest place to work.
