Yes, there was never really a “middle" class. There are those who have to work in order to eat (some evem have salaries in the millions) and those who never will (the Owners). The class war was lost long ago. That the vast majority of people don’t know there was one says a lot about how effective it was. A society based on competition keeps owners rich and losers losing.
