There's always discussions around Big Picture problems and solutions that involve huge policies and all of the associated graft and middlemen who implement those policies. The bottom line comes down to 3 things:
1. Respect and trust of the people on the land.
2. Putting more people closer to the land.
3. Reversing the extraction mentality and orienting economics toward improving our places, rather than stealing food from the planet to support cities full of money-grubbers who build penis-shaped rockets.
If anyone doubts what can be done, I know a family who does the real work.
If you ever want to actualize how useless most of the economy really is to the planet and people who contribute to it, spend some time on a sustainable farm. Be ready to work for your existence.
