There's the rub, eh? What lives did Nature actually endow us with? Almost everything about the modern techno-colonial market feudalism is built around selling stuff that people don't need and convincing us to enslave our future selves in some blind competition against our own sensible awareness. They work for 'good' reasons until all of the good burns up a future that Nature doesn't need.
