This is why I advocate for UBI and good health (not insurance) based on sales tax/VAT. The rich get richer because we work for them and buy their stuff. Crying "TAX THE RICH!" implies we need them to be around to tax next year.

People vote once every four years for (hopefully) someone who won't drag them out of their bed in the night, but billions of times every day for the Rich and the mean Mean's System of systems that are killing us all.

The pivot point is the checkouts. Everything else is from the corruption that comes from markets that don't show people how much things actually cost at the point they decide to either live or to purchase their lives.
