Though I don't completely agree here, I do have to go in with the checkup concept as wasted resources. I can't get in to see a regular doctor for an acute issue without a 2 month lead time, so I always schedule a physical so at least once a year my problems might coincide with availability. The only thing the AMA is worse at than doing their job is training enough people to do it. The next worse amount of harm is a toss up between the FDA and the ADA.
