Too long….but gets to the point. You also got to the capitalism issue, but I submit two points for thought: First: don’t get completely stuck on carbon: consumption is the core problem. Second: the effective opposite of capitalism isn’t socialism; it’s sales tax. The rich and the poor treat money as though it isn’t coming from the planet (oil, forests, oceans), or debt as though it’s not money coming from the planet’s future.
People are doing the wrong things because it’s cheaper to do them, not because we don’t know they’re wrong.
