Trying to catch up on my New Scientist mags this week. Like human intelligence, the most remarkable attribute of Earth is how we only see the persisting bits as the whole story. Lost species, lost planetoids, infinite unfollowed paths: out of sight, out of mind, leaving only the “miracle” of an ‘unlikely’ actual result.
