Our current systems of political control are being driven by a tax system that uses complexity to generate opportunities of inefficiency (tax accounting, tracking, tax credits, tax deductions, political campaign contributions, 'non'-profit organizations, governmental agencies to help people who wouldn't need help under a UBI-universal health care, private systems built around getting rich people to give money to favored causes, private systems built to get the government to give money to other private systems (university grants, etc),

Nobody knows what box to check, what money should be worth, or what they should get paid. Here on Medium, writers struggle to get, what, 2 cents an hour for writing click-bait while some corporate weenie VP gets 4 grand an hour to write bullshit about "upsizing the downsize strategem in order to maximize stakeholder returns".

Automation is making the world tick over at an ever-increasing rate like an old Caterpillar dozer, and as long as the money keeps pouring more fuel into it, the machine will continue to increase rpm until it flies apart.

The operators of this machine don't have a care at all for lubricating the functional parts (people, the land, the children), just pushing the throttle and screaming, "FASTER!!"
