Ultimately, "sustainable" requires a part of any system to be contributory rather than consumptive. MTO humans believe that humanity is the system. We are cogs on a gear that doesn't care what happens to Nature's machine until it gets too hot, and our response is to 'gear up!' and cog harder. Nature can just pull our shaft and stop using that whining gear. It just made everything go too fast anyway. How much control do humans have (intentionality)? Do we even try to oil it? The biggest business of business is preventing customers from saying "no" to the purchase of MTI products. Consumer choice isn't. "Thinking without thought", indeed.
