Most of the problems humanity faces are founded in selfishness, competition, ignorance and Evil(actions taken based on unquestioned belief). When combined with colonialism (extraction) and blind belief that humans are the only thing that matters, collective decision-making by fish/economy-gladiators won't bode well for the natural resources or regional governments and cultures. Techno-nationalism could be better replaced by a simple sales tax-based UBI. Or the latter at least implemented first to educate the fish about real costs of their overarching consumptionism paradigm. Otherwise, like now, the collective choices are biased toward cheap destruction and profitable competitive corruption.
