We have to get past the myth that if people are on TV, they know what they are talking about. It’s just as bad as the one that rich people are smarter than poor people or that teachers and professors have a valid opinion on subjects they study exclusively with immature students (blind faith in Credentialism).

The more “expressive” someone’s manner is (My mom would say, “Cool it with the dramatics.”), the more you know they are lying or stupid, yet this is exactly what gets them on TeeeVeee to sell cars and beer.
