We must have been at the same conference….I still refer to the “Everything I Want to do is Illegal” book on principle of a corrupted system that favors big ag, but I was not thrilled with his closed mindedness at the small group talk.

I try not to ignore useful work just because someone is crazy or an asshole: as humans, we wouldn’t get anything done.

We need to work against the systems exploiting and encouraging the worst in people, without cancelling the good work. Part of that is the open-source nature of simply writing and sharing ideas instead of labeling, patenting and hoarding usefulness that others can use or even improve.
