"We'd better do something today, even if it's wrong."-my old boss/coworker.
Something "wrong" might be the definition of our identity. Getting comfortable with routines can be addictive, whether circumstances are easy, hard, or just ignored (living in our head while life goes on around us). For a while, maybe the break is just to get outside your/others' intent for you and do comments on stories randomly: apply your problem solving to bits of other people's priorities. Will it help to work without focus vs burning your own spoons going in circles? I don't know, does a therapist need a non-therapist to evaluate therapy?
Best wishes for your relaxation.
