Humanity has created civilization and it is an evolutionary trap: isolation from the risks and responsibilities of the very environment that spawned us. It's got no plans to go 'backward', but Nature will be putting us all on the trains to the future where most of our cities are under water and the Economy of Stupid is buried with billions of exploited bodies.

First thing: find higher ground. If you can't go to higher ground, learn to sail.

Second thing: don't expect to survive without a community.

Third thing: don't take for granted that anyone is going to survive.
