What kind of public needs a competitive system of bullying to instill usefulness in its living offspring?

When my kids were in the brick and mortar school, the sportsball boosters always used the "education system is the center of the community" argument to tell people not to question the value of anything that's even adjacent to "building chillldrrennn's futures", but all they really want is to maintain a system and avoid thinking about how their lives lack a culture worth telling stories about. A small rural school in a country that has no culture that it won't sell to the lowest government bidder has no stories that kids want to listen to. They would rather watch TV or YouTube stories, no matter how senselessly inane, just as long as the stories are about "somewhere, not here".

The phrase "never in recorded history" always implies that nothing before recorded history has any credentials, and the more I learn, the more I can see how it's just the opposite. When we started recording the human story, we began forgetting to live it. When we forgot how to live our natural stories, we were forced to buy them from the story managers. There is a finite number of stories that can be extracted from the Earth (a large number, but finite), and all the really good ones have already been written, so we can choose to recycle and live stories in our places, or die off trying to fit 8 billion pounds of printed bullshit into a 100 million pound sack.

Think about what cryptocurrency really is: it's a computer representation of a story of value that nobody really had to live.
