The only thing preventing us from having basic common decency and good government is basic common decency and good government.

Everything else is just marketing. A world based on unemployment (happiness comes ‘after work’, ‘on the weekend’ and ‘in retirement’) is inherently corrosive of the mind. All work should be art. It is an art to fill a manure spreader and clean out an animal stall. It is an art to plow a field. It is an art to connect people together or to be a friend.

Art cannot be forced, or it is not art.
