You mean like when I advocate for a UBI and healthcare system based on sales taxes? ;)
Everyone seems to hate the idea that consumers would be 'inconvenienced' by knowing how much the stuff they buy really costs and how much we are really worth to employers (getting rid of the income tax code, social security system and IRS and making taxpaying into an anonymous act).
Then, there's the ignored but known unknown of how corrupt all of the lobbying of the income tax code makes our politicians.
The 'leaders' (aka bullies) who stand up and call for personal responsibility don't really want it to happen. They get elected pretending to fight about 'issues' but get paid based on their moral turpitude.
Heaven forbid we would put tax accountants and retirement fund managers out of their lucrative jobs, or stop giving tax deductions to corporations and religions for lying to children.
