What's wrong with people's lives that they need dozens or hundreds or thousands of other people in one place with a big target painted on them for the news media to sell advertising when it all goes belly-up?"

Most of the stuff people are doing doesn't need to be done, and most of people's problems keep escalating because they don't think about just not doing stupid shit in the first place.
