You’ve got it backward. People who like Trump may be ignorant of scientists(they know the science they need for making money) but tired of being belittled and disregarded by intellectual credentialists who blindly believe that a little knowledge is the same thing as usefulness.
Being a truly smart person, I assume you realize that intellectual accomplishments are dependent upon nonintellectual accomplishment. It is up to intellectuals to help nonintellectuals be more useful at all of the things they need help with. It is the work of good politicians to facilitate this symbiosis, not to bifurcate people for the profits of competitive dumbassery.
